What has the grain price done to lotfeeder margins?

Rising grain prices are not good news for lotfeeders. Feed grain prices are now at 10-year highs in both northern and southern lotfeeder zones. For lotfeeders to continue to make money when grain prices are high, either grainfed cattle prices have to rise, or feeder prices have to fall. There isn’t much fat in lotfeeding at the moment.
