Young cattle markets lose momentum in February – EYCI percentiles

After a stellar performance in January, the young cattle market plateaued in early February and has since lost some ground. As finished cattle markets prospects become less certain amid falling export beef prices, buyer demand for store cattle cooled slightly. The dry conditions seen in February across most of the east coast have added extra pressure on prices by dampening restocker confidence.
