The Australian sheep flock has been declining, but lamb supply seems to have been maintained thanks to the switch to dual purpose and meat sheep. In New Zealand, the flock has also been declining, but there are few Merinos to cull, and as such New Zealand lamb supply is expected to hit a 53 year low this year. As New Zealand enters its peak supply season, we assess whether lower Kiwi supply will impact our prices.
