The reluctance seen last week to deal in the forward wool market by growers came crumbling down as the physical market didn’t perform as expected. As a result, there was an increase in the number of trades, from just two last week to nine this week as growers tried to get some levels set.
Wool from 19 micron category was dealt for April and June 2018 at 2085¢ and 2040¢. While 21 micron wool saw one trade in March 2018 at 1875¢, one for April at 1850¢, three for June between 1770¢ and 1780¢, and one for September 2018 at 1640¢.
There were no minimum price contracts.
