This week the wool forward market saw trades across all the three wool categories, with the drop in the Au$ providing solid opportunities for overseas buyers. Medium wool secured most attention when compared to fine and crossbred types.

In the fine wool category, 19 micron fibres had two deals, at 1960¢ and 2050¢ for August 2018 and May 2018 respectively. Next, 21 micron had some strong activity going this week. This wool type traded at 1960¢ for May 2018, between 1930¢ and 1940¢ for June 2018 and at 1800¢ and 1855¢ for August 2018. A contract also dealt at 1660¢ with cover taken right out to March 2019. Finally, from the crossbred types, 28 micron wool saw a single trade at 860¢ for August 2018.

There were no minimum price contracts this week.
