The wool forward market hasn’t lost its momentum even after three weeks following recess. This week saw trades in two different categories of fine and medium wool.
In fine wool category, 18 micron wool was traded at 1990¢ for November 2017. While, 19 micron wool saw a trade happening at 1845¢ for October 2017.
The rest of the weeks trades were in medium wools. 19.5 micron wool saw deal at 1715¢ for September 2017. October 2017 was where we found majority of the deals. There were nine trades in 21 micron ranging between 1550¢ and 1570¢. Another trade from the same category was for September 2017 at 1600¢. Also, a trade for 2019 at 1325¢ was noted.
There were no minimum price contracts this week.
