Weekly Wool Forwards – week ending 15th June 2018

We are drawing closer to the end of the 17/18 selling season and the forwards market is still attracting interest from growers and buyers. Contracts were traded across the 18 to 22 micron categories out to April 2019.

In the fine fibre category, 18 micron wool traded at 2255¢ for December 2018 and January 2019. 19 micron wool for September, October and November 2018 traded in the range of 2100¢ and 2110¢. While December 2018 saw a deal struck at 2050¢.

A contract for 21 micron wool was struck at 2200¢ for July 2018. September 2018 saw two trades at 2050¢ and October 2018 was in the range of 2005¢ to 2010¢. The trades for 21 micron in November 2018 were dealt between 1950¢ and 2005¢. April 2019 also saw two deals at 1930¢.

A single contract for 22 micron wool traded at 2050¢ for coverage out to September 2018.

There were no minimum price contracts this week.
