Victorian livestock markets softer in May – price percentiles

Victorian lamb markets cooled in May, with most categories easing 20-35¢ month-on-month. Heavy lambs remain at the top of the percentile ladder at their 98th and around 100¢/kg cwt above light lambs that are at their 89th percentile level. Cattle markets were relatively mixed in May. Trade and medium steers were flat while cows, heavy and feeder steers struggled to consolidate April gains.
