USDA sees Barley supply up, all else steady

The USDA released its October World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report on Friday. Barley was the major mover, while the big 3 of wheat, corn and soybean estimates were largely steady in spite of many analysts expecting an increase (figure 1). Interestingly, the USDA is still forecasting a 25mmt wheat yield in Australia, which is well above some local estimates.
