US Cattle Futures at 15 month low but we’re still looking good

The world benchmark cattle prices, the CME Feeder and Live Cattle Futures have both fallen to 15 month lows in recent weeks as the slow improvement in supply and weakening demand see values ease. For Australian cattle producers this begs the question as to whether falling US prices are going to impact our market, but the data suggests we’re still at a discount and we shouldn’t feel too much pressure from the US yet.
