As we outlined last week, a vast majority of lambs are marked in the June to October period. This means that there are plenty of growers out there with a large number of lambs on ewes, ranging between 20 and 40kg lwt. The question for them is whether to sell lambs directly off the ewes, or to wean and try to grow out to slaughter weights or heavier slaughter weights.
