The ABARES crop report released on 3 December revised the Aussie wheat crop estimate at 26.5mmt, 2.2mmt higher than its September estimate and the third largest crop on record. While east coast (excluding SA) production was pegged 4% lower than in September at 11.4mmt, WA wheat production estimates were 9.6mmt, 2.3mmt, or 31%, higher than the September forecast and a 40% increase year-on-year.
