Supply picks up, prices slide down – VIC percentiles

Finished lamb markets in Victoria fell around 25¢ in October on the back of increasing supplies and below average rainfall during the month. The VIC trade lamb indicator finished the month quoted at 441¢/kg cwt, the lowest level since January but still 15.5% above year-ago levels. Cattle markets also eased across the board with heavy steers and cow prices plunging 40¢ month-on-month, putting them back to their 60th percentiles.
