High lamb slaughter levels during Winter is poised to provide some price support for the Eastern States Trade Lamb Indicator (ESTLI) as we head toward the Spring flush if Meat and Livestock Australia’s (MLA) annual slaughter estimates are to be proved correct. Our late August supply analysis covered the slaughter estimates and this piece follows up with some projections on the Spring low for the ESTLI this season if slaughter ends the year as MLA anticipate.
