Slowdown in lamb exports in November

Aussie lamb exports retreated in November with volumes easing 21% from the record high set in October to 19,088 tonnes swt. For the first time in 20 months lamb shipments fell below year-ago levels despite MLA weekly slaughter numbers pointing to a 6% increase in killings from November 2013. Yet, even with this slowdown, year-to-date exports have already surpassed the total volumes seen in 2013, now at 216,293 tonnes swt.
