Should I plant wheat or buy sheep?

Cropping areas have increased in recent decades at the expense of sheep enterprises on Australian farms. The assumption is generally that the cost of sheep has risen in relation to the cost of growing a crop. This article takes a look at a structural block to a large swing back to sheep from crop, even with the extremely favourable prices for sheep meats and wool in relation to crops.
