Robust demand sees high lamb export volumes and stable prices in 2013

Lamb exports hit an all-time record in 2013, surpassing early-year industry expectations by a fair margin. Underpinned by an unprecedented robust export demand and large domestic supplies, Aussie lamb exports totalled 213,697 tonnes swt in 2013, a 13% jump on 2012 levels and 30% above the 5-year average.
