A burst of activity on Riemann this week saw some grower orders filled in the 21 and 19 micron categories from mid-2016 out to early 2017. The depreciating local currency supportive of physical wool auction markets and this flowed through to the forward sales platform this week.
The 19-micron category saw 1405¢ trade for late January 2017. Early June 2016 saw trades for 21-micron at 1380¢/kg, mid-July traded at 1355¢ and August through to October 2016 saw deals range between 1330 to 1350¢/kg. Early December 2016 contracts dealing at 1325¢/kg clean in the 21-micron class.
