Revised forecast and picking a bottom for the EYCI

The release of Meat and Livestock Australia’s (MLA) cattle market update for October 2016 has seen some revisions to slaughter estimates and has prompted an update to the Mecardo long term Eastern Young Cattle Indicator (EYCI) forecasts last published in May 2016. This analysis provides and update to the current EYCI forecasts and takes a look at how low the EYCI is likely to trade for the remainder of the year.
