Record beef exports in 2012/13 – but what else happened?

After hitting an all-time record in May, beef exports retraced 15% in June but still remained 8% higher in relation to June 2012. Australian beef exports for the 2012/13 fiscal year surpassed 1,000,000 tonnes for the first time on record, 7% higher than 2011/12 and 8% above the 5-year average.
