Queensland cattle markets around median percentile levels

After tracking sideways between January and March, Queensland cattle prices finally showed a positive recovery in April. Young cattle markets were undoubtedly the best performers, with the average young cattle price rebounding 43¢ on the month to 344¢/kg cwt, its 56th percentile. Finished steers are now quoted at similar price levels, while heavy steers continue to outperform lighter categories in percentile terms.
