Mutton remains undervalued and a good bet for the long term

Lamb markets have tracked sideways on the east coast since early May and not yet embarked on their usual ‘late winter’ downtrend. We don’t expect a sharp price collapse in a similar fashion to 2015. That said, lamb prices should start to ease from August onwards. For those with lambs on hand, there’s no reason to hold any longer while store lambs remain comparatively cheap.
