How much will mutton be worth by June/July if the BOM is right?

While lamb slaughter rates continue to track above 2014 levels, sheep numbers have been running well below year-ago levels already. Yet, in the absence of favourable seasonal conditions in February and March, sheep retention efforts remain subdued. With the BOM’s 3-month rainfall outlook looking very favourable, what could happen to supply down the track. And more importantly, what impact on mutton prices?
