Lock, (re)stock and two state spread patterns.

The tight season and improved climate conditions saw Victorian restocker lamb prices move to a strong premium to the Eastern States Trade Lamb Indicator late in 2016 and have continued this strength into the first quarter of 2017. NSW restocker lambs finished the 2016 season on a high too (with respect to the spread to the ESTLI) but the momentum dropped away into February/March as higher than normal throughput soaked the market.
