Lambs outperform cattle in NSW – October percentiles

New South Wales lamb markets bucked their seasonal downtrend in October to see trade lambs finishing the month virtually unchanged, at 474¢/kg cwt. In percentile terms, all lamb indicators remained relatively stable around their 65-75th percentile range while mutton fell from the 79th to the 69th percentile. Cattle markets in NSW eased considerably in October, with heavy steers and cows moving from 10-year highs to their 67th and 81st percentiles, respectively.
