Lambs lose some ground in May, but not as much as cattle – NSW percentiles

After a solid recovery in April, finished lamb markets in NSW eased slightly in May. Restocker lambs, on the other hand, plunged 100¢ month-on-month to 478¢/kg cwt, and are now at the 77th percentile. Cattle markets also felt the pressure from deteriorating seasonal conditions to see all NSW indicators except heavy steers dipping 15-25¢ month-on-month. Cows moved back to their 15th percentile despite late May gains.
