Despite the expected 3% increase in lamb supply in the 2013/14 season, lamb prices should move 22% higher from 2012/13 levels to average 480¢/kg cwt by the end of the season. While this scenario defies any logical relationship between supply and prices, it confirms that lamb markets have undergone another major shift in demand patterns this season.
