Lamb exports move to uncharted territory in September

Lamb exports jumped a remarkable 17% month-on-month on the back of a surge in slaughter levels over the last five weeks, ongoing robust export demand and the subsiding A$, to set a fresh record of 21,084 tonnes swt in September. This puts September’s volumes 28% above year-ago levels and 44% higher than the 5-year average for the month.
