Lamb exports back above 2014 levels in February

Despite the projected drop in exports for 2015, lamb shipments are yet to show any signs of slowing. Supported by the ongoing strong supply levels and the stabilisation of the A$ at around US78¢, total lamb exports in February fell just short of 20,000 tonnes swt. At 19,772 tonnes swt, this was a record figure for the month, up 2.8% year-on-year and 33% above the 5-year average.
