Lamb and mutton markets will inevitably surge in 2015

Meat and Livestock Australia’s (MLA’s) sheep industry projections released earlier this week cement the view that supply will be much tighter in 2015. On the demand front, key export markets are expected to remain strong, while the lower A$ is assumed to provide further strength to domestic prices. Overall, MLA’s supply/demand estimates reinforce our bullish view for sheep markets this year, particularly for mutton.
