Exports to Japan disappoint while China breaks new record

After breaking an all-time record in July, Australian beef exports dropped 7% month-on-month to 98,401 tonnes swt. Nevertheless, this was still the largest shipment for the month of August on record, and 21% higher year-on-year. Aside from Japan, all major export destinations showed higher exports than the corresponding period in 2012.
