Cattle steady while lambs take a plunge in February – SA percentiles

Although cattle prices in SA remain slightly below corresponding stock in Victoria, they remain relatively in line in percentile terms. Overall, SA cattle markets have moved sideways since sales resumed in January, at record price levels despite strong supplies. Lamb and mutton markets, on the other hand, lost considerable ground in February with prices easing up to 82¢ from the peak seen earlier in the month.
