Cattle on feed numbers reach 8-year high in March quarter

The latest ALFA/MLA March quarter feedlot survey released last week continues to depict the impact of poor seasonal conditions on cattle on feed (CoF) numbers, placements and grainfed cattle turnoff. While the supply of grainfed cattle is unlikely to dwindle in the short-term, the robust export demand should continue to support high grainfed cattle prices.
