Cattle continue to outperform lambs in WA – monthly percentiles

Lamb markets in WA were relatively flat in April, in contrast to the east coast. All finished lamb categories are now quoted around 475¢/kg cwt, or their 82-83rd percentile. Mutton markets fared better in April, gaining 39¢ month-on-month to 272¢/kg cwt, or its 76th percentile. Cattle markets continue to outperform lambs in percentile terms, with all MLA cattle indicators for WA above the 90th percentile.
