Aussie beef exports down 8% in April

Australian beef exports fell below February and March levels in April but, at 97,477 tonnes swt, remained 14% higher year-on-year. Despite a 17% drop in shipments month-on-month to the US, the country retained its position as the largest export destination for the third consecutive month. Trade conditions with Japan are likely to remain lacklustre until the FTA agreement rolls out.
