Weekly Wool Forwards – week ending 4th May 2018.

Finer wool attracted more demand than usual on the wool forwards market this week. Out of a total nine contracts traded this week, three were from this category.

18 micron wool traded at 2295¢ for May 2018 and 2195¢ for August 2018. A contract for 18.5 micron also dealt at 2060¢ for August 2018. In the mid fibre category, 21 micron wool set for August 2018 traded at 1840¢ and 1855¢, while September 2018 contracts traded at 1820¢ and 1840¢. Another 21 micron deal was struck for October 2018 at 1740¢. 

This week also saw a contract for 28 micron crossbred wool trade at 840¢ for November 2018.

There were no minimum price contracts this week.
